Search rates

The most common ways to find rates are done by selecting Airline, Destination airport or Destination city. Click on the list box you would like to start the selection with; a pop-up window opens with a list of all search options. The search results are based on the code (airline, airport or city) displayed in the first column. Use your mouse pointer to select the required search task. If the pop-up window has more rows than it can display, enlarge the window or use your mouse wheel to scroll up and down.

Auto search

To use the integrated auto search feature, open the pop-up and start typing your search query. Whilst typing, the selected row changes to match the entered text. Confirm the selection with ENTER or select the relevant row with the mouse pointer. To change the auto search entry column, click on the header of the appropriate column in the pop-up window; the binocular icon indicates the current auto search column. Pressing the same header several times changes the sorting direction of the list.

Select rates by type

Cargo Office has several rate types. The two most important types are the Promotional and User defined rates. To limit search options to these types, press the Promotional or My rates button. The selection list boxes Airline, Airport and City will now be filtered to display only the valid results relevant to the selected rate types. Press the Show all rates button to clear the filter. In case Cargo Office does not have any promotional rates, or if there are no valid user rates, the buttons are disabled.

Alternative search warning

Finding rates to certain destinations can be misleading or incomplete. Cargo Office shows rates by selection of an airport or city code. In many cases these two codes are equal to each other. If not, searching by city code is usually the better option.

Cargo Office shows a warning message. For example, when you do a search for London Heathrow (LHR), Cargo Office will notice that London has multiple airports and will also search for available rates from the other airports. If there are any rates from other airports in London, an information message will be displayed. Click on the message to load all rates related to London.
