Import
If you received airfreight rates from an airline, you can use the import tools in Cargo Office to import the rates quickly.
Cargo Office supports the import of the eRate sheet. To import the rates, click Import eRate to select your eRate sheet. Cargo Office opens the file and starts importing the rates. During the import, all values are validated against the eRate standard. Should a record contain a value that is not supported by the rules, the value will, if possible automatically, be corrected. If Cargo Office is not able to find a matching value, the record receives a default value. If the import is finished, an error report is generated with the changed values highlighted in red. Save your import results by pressing the Save changes button.
If you receive rates from an airline in a format different from the eRate sheet format, Cargo Office recommends using a blank eRate sheet and then use Microsoft Excel to copy and paste the rates into the blank eRate sheet. Change the columns that are not already filled in the same way as in the standard eRate sheet. Open Cargo Office and then select the Import eRate button.
Adding rates by using the import wizard is a useful way to import lists of rates stored in a Microsoft Excel format. The wizard allows you to select the worksheet, range and columns from the source file. Using the wizard can be beneficial if you have information about the destination, carrier and the weight breaks.
You can define the data range by selecting the first row of your worksheet. Check the First column has column names if you want the wizard to use the column headings as field names.
The wizard interface automatically matches Microsoft Excel columns with the Cargo Office table layout. You can then make changes such as adjusting pre-matched columns, specifying fixed column value or ignore column.
