Rates

In Cargo Office, airfreight rates are displayed according to the eRate sheet definitions. All eRate definition fields are available and supplemented with user information, columns like surcharges, rate type and schedule information. Cargo Office uses an easy to use and multifunction grid View to display the rate information.

Rates

The first two columns in the grid view indicate the classification and status of a rate row. To highlight the importance of these columns, icons are used to distinguish the difference between the rates.

Rate types

Cargo Office allows the publisher to specify rate type. Cargo Office supports the following rate types:
  • General standard rates have no icon in front of the rate.
  • Promotional rates.
  • Ad-hoc rates.
  • Contract rates.
  • User rates, published by forwarder (flag is available in different colors).
The rate type information is displayed in the second column of the search results.

Rate effective period

All rates have an effective from and effective to date; the rate is valid between these dates. To emphasize the importance of the date, Cargo Office uses the first column of the search results to display date icons. Cargo Office marks the rate with a matching icon in order of importance:

  • The effective from date is after today, the row is highlighted in gray.
  • Rates published within the last 2 weeks are marked as new.
  • Five days before the effective to date, rate is near expiry date.
