Container A container is an ISO standardized utility designed especially for the transportation of goods with several means of transportation without transshipment. Containers are made of steel, aluminum or glass fiber-reinforced synthetic material. Usually, they have a soil and wall capacity of 2.5t per cubic meter. In the international maritime traffic 20', 40' and increasingly also 45' containers are used.
